The flowers of the Trumpet Vine glow in rich reds and oranges, rising high against an almost cloudless sky on a sweltering Mediterranean day. I have drawn on these intense colours to construct the geometric forms, echoing the upward movement of the flowers while setting their warm tones against the cooler blues of the sky.
