Taking the Kite for an airing

The kite hasn’t been out of its bag since the summer holiday. When we did take it out to the meadow, I found that there was still sand from the beach in the bag!

As we released the string the force of the wind seemed to grow until finally, I needed all my strength to turn the string back on to the spool.
