Hannah was 7 today
Fantastic when birthdays come at the weekend!
Hannah had a terrific day - no school! So many presents it was like Christmas all over again.

Spent a very pleasant part of Boxing day with our friends.
We played a splendid game of ‘Articulate’ after eating far too much trifle. I fear that this culinary delight contained rather too much sherry and the the gamesters did a good deal of shouting. Articulate is a fun game with ‘describers’ and ‘guessers’ in teams. We found it most difficult when having to perform ‘actions’.The rules of the game are here

The annual video in front of the Christmas tree.
Zoe and Hannah have, once again, cheered us with their duet for Christmas.
You can see the video and even go back through the years by going here.
By the way, I am in the process of consolidating my web sites and I have brought over the personal stuff to join PageToScreen. Explanations coming soon.

No pictures yet ‘cos we can’t upload from the camera, but here is a description: Hot, blue, relaxing! In the sea every day, wandering the port restaraunts by night. The food is surprisingly less fish more meat, but we are learning that the Greek salad is the best value. We are on Paros and I have just finished reading Fionnuala Brennan’s On a Greek Island: A Personal Experience - an account of her and her family’s time in 1978 when they lived on the island (and renovated a house). The island has changed and become a very busy tourist resort. The population increases by 80% in the summer. OK. but we are still enjoying it! I am posting this from a car hire company on the dockside. If we can find a more modern computer with a USB post, I might be able to post some photos.

We took a trip to see Farmer Gows. This a children’s delight! Farm animals that can be touched and fed. We led a goat around on a lead - or should I say the goat led us around. The tractor / trailer trip was fun too and it reminded me of my days as a tractor driver on the farm at Ardpatrick.

We visited Oxford’s Museum of Natural History and the Pitt Rivers Museum for a special evening event. The was a fabulous way to spend time amongst the dinosaurs and geological specimens. Scheduled events included Gamalan music and dancing, glowing bugs and a showing of The Lost World - the 1925 silent movie based on Conan Doyle’s novel.
