We spent one night in Norfolk
We did a quick camping trip to Norfolk. We had 2 tents. You can see how we arranged them. Grown ups in one and 2 girls in the other. Very cold to begin with but we soon warmed up! Hannah was very brave and only woke up once, claiming to have heard someone trying to get into the tent. Of course it was only the wind.

Returning from our trip to Germany, our automatic gearbox on the VW failed us.
I couldn’t get 4th gear after we stopped for petrol near to Brussels. We had to crawl our way to Calais because no help could be found. Surprisingly, the gears seemed to work from Dover after a 2 hour rest. The worst moment was getting lost in Dunkirk becasue we were trying to avoid the motorway.
Car now at the doctor’s and I am expecting a large bill.

We took a trip to see Farmer Gows. This a children’s delight! Farm animals that can be touched and fed. We led a goat around on a lead - or should I say the goat led us around. The tractor / trailer trip was fun too and it reminded me of my days as a tractor driver on the farm at Ardpatrick.

We visited Oxford’s Museum of Natural History and the Pitt Rivers Museum for a special evening event. The was a fabulous way to spend time amongst the dinosaurs and geological specimens. Scheduled events included Gamalan music and dancing, glowing bugs and a showing of The Lost World - the 1925 silent movie based on Conan Doyle’s novel.
