We had a joint birthday party today. Zoe’s 10th and Hannah’s 7th.
With fifteen girls invited, we could not have this at home, so we hired a local church hall. This gives everyone ample opportunity to run around with abandon. One of the things we always have to take care of is to be sure that everyone leaves with a good supply of this very sticky cake.

Fantastic when birthdays come at the weekend!
Hannah had a terrific day - no school! So many presents it was like Christmas all over again.

The annual video in front of the Christmas tree.
Zoe and Hannah have, once again, cheered us with their duet for Christmas.
You can see the video and even go back through the years by going here.
By the way, I am in the process of consolidating my web sites and I have brought over the personal stuff to join PageToScreen. Explanations coming soon.

We visited Oxford’s Museum of Natural History and the Pitt Rivers Museum for a special evening event. The was a fabulous way to spend time amongst the dinosaurs and geological specimens. Scheduled events included Gamalan music and dancing, glowing bugs and a showing of The Lost World - the 1925 silent movie based on Conan Doyle’s novel.

We go to the local skateboard ramps to practice bike riding. Hannah is getting really stable and confident now, but Zoe keeps removing her helmet! I can see that both girls will need the next size of bicycle soon. Perhaps we should look on eBay.

The 2 girls have taken in to school their science projects ready for Science week. Zoe has done a panel on Sea Shells and Hannah has created a panel about cats (seen here) - featuring our cat Saffy. Some good scientific research was conducted: - How close to the wild tiger is Saffy the cat?- and - What are the different kinds of shells found in on the sea shore?
There is more...
